The topic of rising airfare trends was one of the focal points of discussions among airport leaders during the Board Meeting of the Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), hosted by Cambodia Airports, in Phnom Penh.
Passenger traffic across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East recorded growth in January at +5.6% and +1.7% respectively. China overtook India, generating the highest passenger traffic growth in the region with approximately +8.1% increase from last year.
Passenger traffic across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East recorded growth in December at +3.8% and +2.0% respectively. China remained the largest market in the region even though the general pace of growth in the domestic and international segments continued trending downwards.
Passenger traffic across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East recorded growth in November at +3.8% and +2.7% respectively. Despite a slowdown in the overall pace of growth in Asia-Pacific, India continued to lead with approximately +8.0% growth in total passenger traffic compared with last year
