Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), the association representing over 600 airports from 45 countries/territories, expressed strong support for Auckland Airport's infrastructure development plans, and welcomed the New Zealand Commerce Commission's recent decision on the airport's 2022-2027 pricing event.
Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific today announced the results of the Green Airports Recognition (GAR) Programme 2023, recognising 12 airports in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East for demonstrating outstanding accomplishments in their sustainability projects.
A total of 64 airports in Asia-Pacific and Middle East have collectively contributed towards 162,623 tonnes of carbon reduction (Scope 1 & 2), according to the ACI Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Annual Report 2021-2022 . This is equivalent to the CO2 emitted during the production of close to 24 million cotton t-shirts.

At the Airports Council International (ACI) Customer Experience Global Summit today, ACI World announced the launch of the new highest level of its Airport Customer Experience Accreditation program, Level 5, with the Republic of Korea’s Incheon Airport as the first airport in the world to achieve this top level of accreditation.
Asia-Pacific and Middle East airports will have to develop new greenfield airports and invest to modernize and expand existing airport infrastructure to meet future growth.
