This week, the global community of airport innovators, start-ups, visionary thinkers, researchers and top tech minds gathers at Rome Fiumicino Airport for AIRPORTS INNOVATE 2024. John Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), and a group of Legislative Council (LegCo) members led by the President of the LegCo, Andrew Leung, today visited the pilot scheme facility for Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) Logistics Park in Dongguan for the latest development of the intermodal cargo transshipment initiative developed by Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK).

Mangaluru International Airport has scaled up its automated car parking system with the introduction of FASTag solution from April 18. The airport is introducing this upgraded solution to its parking system for passengers, greeters who come to see their families off, and those coming to the airport for meetings and park their vehicles in the designated parking lot. FASTag is an electronic toll collection system in India.

The "World of Winners" air ticket giveaway campaign, sponsored by Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK), landed on the Chinese Mainland today with a spectacular celebration event held in Shanghai. Hawke’s Bay Airport’s carbon emission reduction efforts received significant international recognition recently, achieving the highest possible level of carbon accreditation; Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Level 4+ ‘Transition’. Hawke’s Bay Airport (HBAL) is the only airport in New Zealand to achieve the stringent 4+ Transition accreditation, and is now in an elite group of less than 45 airports worldwide in the ACA 4+ category, out of nearly 42,000 airports globally.
