The topic of rising airfare trends was one of the focal points of discussions among airport leaders during the Board Meeting of the Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), hosted by Cambodia Airports, in Phnom Penh.
With the summer vacation coming to an end and students preparing for their return to school, Hamad International Airport continues to provide a seamless and convenient arrival experience by implementing several procedures to welcome arriving citizens and residents.
On 2 August 2023, TIAC(Taoyuan International Airport Company) Chairman Wei-Fuu Yang and CEO Hsiao-Lun Fan went to T3 construction site to inspect the hoisting and installation of the first mega column that supports T3 roof. The installation of the mega column symbolized the new milestone of T3 construction, which, after completion in 2026, will increase Taoyuan Airport’s annual service capacity to 82 million.

The 11th ICAO Asia & Pacific Regional Aviation Security Coordination Forum (RASCF-APAC/11) was held in Bangkok, Thailand from 26-27 July, 2023. Mangaluru International Airport in its endeavor to enhance customer experience of the automated parking solution in place at the public asset, has introduced the automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system. This forms an important cog in the parking solution which strives for total digitization and offer seamless entry of and exit of vehicles from the airport with e-payment technology such as FASTag taking care of the payments for the end user.
The familiar crackle of walkie-talkies used by aviation security group (ASG) of CISF at Mangaluru International Airport is now a thing of the past. Come July and the ASG personnel are now reporting for duty with their new state-of-the-art communication kits provided by the airport. This keeps the entire communication with the security operations control centre (SOCC), manned by CISF, strictly on a need-to-know basis.
