Sunshine Coast Airport enjoyed its best-ever Winter season, increasing passenger movements by over 11% to 304,487 for the three months of Winter (June-August 2018). The record-breaking performance continued for the first month of Spring with a 7% increase (from September 2017) in passenger movements.
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) recorded slight decreases in all three air traffic categories in September due primarily to Typhoon Mangkhut, which resulted in no flight movement for more than 20 hours. During the month, passenger volume decreased by 0.3% year on year to 5.6 million.
