  • 2023-03-22

The number of international passenger flights, excluding China, is expected to be 658 per week (46% of 2019*2), whose recovery is led by three regions with 100 weekly flights to Hong Kong and Macau (81% of 2019) with the new service by Greater Bay Airlines (HB), 252 weekly flights to South Korea (72% of 2019), and 98 weekly flights to Taiwan (73% of 2019).

As for long-haul routes to Europe and North America, Finnair (AY) and Lufthansa (LH) will resume three weekly flights to Helsinki and to Munich, respectively, as well as four weekly flights to Vancouver offered by Air Canada (AC).

For other international routes, Batik Air Malaysia (OD) and Thai Vietjet Air (VZ), which newly launched service in winter 2022, will continue to offer flights.

In terms of domestic passenger flights, the total number of flights per day at the three airports will be 294, exceeding the summer 2019 results (288 at peak), along with an increase in flight numbers in response to the expansion of slots at Kobe Airport in 2019, the additional routes launched by Peach Aviation (MM) at KIX during COVID-19 crisis and other factors.

The number of international LCC flights will be 335 per week, representing 50% of the total international services, whereas 42 domestic flights will be offered by LCC per day, representing 60% of the total domestic services.

*1 International passenger flights to China are not included in the planned flights due to uncertain flight numbers at their peak.
