The 28th ACI World Airport IT Standing Committee (AITSC) meeting, hosted by Airport Authority Hong Kong, took place from 24 to 26 February 2025, bringing together airport IT leaders from key aviation markets.
Organised under the leadership of Airports Council International (ACI), the meeting gathered around 30 members, including representatives from key Asia-Pacific and Middle East airports such as Beijing, Changi, Hong Kong, Narita, Nagoya, Sharjah, and Shenzhen.
The event opened with a keynote speech by Mrs. Vivian Cheung, Acting CEO of Airport Authority Hong Kong, who emphasised how post-pandemic trends have accelerated the adoption of digital solutions, driving smarter airport operations.
ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East played a key role in the discussions, providing a regional update and presenting findings from its latest survey on unmanned aircraft systems and drones. The three-day meeting featured exchanges on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity leadership, biometrics for enhanced passenger experience, and airport IT training—reflecting ACI’s commitment to advancing technology and innovation across the aviation sector.
