Air China to Launch New KIX-Hangzhou Service with Four Weekly Flights this Winter

Kansai Airports today announced that China Air (CA), the national flag carrier of China, will launch new service connecting Kansai International Airport (KIX) to Hangzhou, China, beginning February 1, 2019. This will be the airline’s fifth route to KIX, following Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin (via Dalian), and Chengdu.


Hangzhou, one of the eight ancient capitals in China, boasts many sightseeing spots including Liuhe Pagoda and West Lake, UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site West Lake Cultural Landscape of Hangzhou. The city has been seeing rapid economic growth mainly in its IT industry. With the introduction of the new service, the number of flights between KIX and Hangzhou will be increased to 22 flights weekly, and further demand is expected for air travel between the two destinations.
