Airports Corporation of Vietnam and Central Japan International Airport establish Sister Airport Cooperation

Building upon a lot of strong and various bilateral partnerships between Vietnam and Japan, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and Central Japan International Airport Co., Ltd. (CJIAC) proudly announce the establishment of a sister airport partnership.

 

Amid remarkable aviation market growth in the Asia-Pacific region in recent years, the Vietnam-Japan corridor has been witnessed as a key player. The Sister Airport Cooperation aims to, by prioritizing passenger experience, elevate the standards of aviation services, promote tourism, and enhance connectivity between cities in Vietnam, those are located from northern region to southern region, and city of Nagoya, that is geographically located in the center of Japan.

This sister airport partnership is a result of shared values, mutual respect, and the commitment of both airport operators to strengthen ties. Both airport operators are determined to facilitate the exchange of best practices, knowledge and expertise for the agenda of sustainable development such as encouraging manpower development as well as fostering continuous improvement in operational efficiency, service quality and passenger experience.

 

Mr. Tran Anh Vu, Deputy General Director of ACV stated: “We are excited to establish the Sister Airport Cooperation with CJIAC. This partnership signifies a substantial advancement in the promotion of tourism, the facilitation of collaborative airport operation, and the enhancement of connectivity between Nagoya in Japan and Vietnam. Together, we aim to provide exceptional services to our passengers and contribute to the sustainable development of the global aviation industry.”

Mr. Toshiki Sakurai, Executive Vice President and COO of CJIAC stated: “We are delighted with formulating of a bilateral relationship framework of collaboration between ACV and CJIAC. We have been developing good a relationship with ACV, inter alia Danang International Airport that is under ACV’s management, through mutual visits and exchanges opinions in various fields since 2019. This success has led to the further development of the strategic relationship that has started today.”

 

As the initial initiative under this sister airport partnership, the senior management team in ACV and CJIAC jointly visited Phu Bai International Airport and engaged in a discussion regarding the potential of promoting new flight routes and improving service quality.
