CAM Launch the Epidemic Prevention Action of Emergency Plan

The Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) has declared a state of immediate prevention from 1 am on 19th June 2022. To support the Macao SAR Government's efforts to prevent and control the epidemic, the Epidemic Prevention Response Team of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) immediately launched the epidemic prevention action in the emergency plan. Relevant Executive Committee members led the Finance and Administration Department (FAD), Airport Operations Department (AOD), and its subsidiaries Airport Information Management Solutions (AIMS) and SEMAC Security Company to implement the established plan respectively.
Macau International Airport (MIA) in order to maintain normal airport passenger and cargo operations and services, Airport Operations Department (AOD) is responsible for operation coordination, epidemic handling, logistical support, facility support and staff arrangement according to the emergency plan. Airport operating entities which included, Airport Information Management Solutions (AIMS), Macau Security Company (SEMAC), Menzies Macau Airport Services Limited and Macau Catering Services Company Limited (MCS) have certain plans and arrangements, in order to ensure that the necessary services are in place, and arranged accommodation for nearly 300 employees, and adjusted the arrangements in a timely manner according to the situation and needs. In response to changes in the epidemic situation, be prepared to ensure employees’ commute routes at two points and one line to ensure that airport services are not affected. At the same time, keeping close contact with airlines and freight forwarders in order to get the most updated passenger flow and logistics information. Kuo Kim - Macau International Airport Nucleic Acid Test Station has been one of the self-paid sampling stations in the present Community-wide Nucleic Acid Test Programme, MIA cooperates to provide the related services. According to the Order of the Chief Executive, public sector of MSAR will be closed from 20th - 21st June 2022. Due to the epidemic situation and plan, CAM administrative department staff also started home office in order to reduce the risk of outbound movement, but management staff can go to office for work according to the need. Supporting staff to the frontline adopted A/B shift system to have a balance between epidemic prevention and work needs.
Throughout the Emergency Epidemic Prevention Action Plan, relevant measures can be arranged in an organized manner that can reflect the leadership and teamwork spirit of CAM, and is the confidence in the ability of the SAR government in prevention and control of the epidemic.
