Emergency Drills at KIX Aviation Fuel Facilities

Kansai Airports will hold an emergency drill at KIX on June 6, simulating that a massive earthquake hit aviation fuel facilities.

 

This drill is held annually to improve preparedness for earthquakes, aiming to foster coordination between relevant organizations, enhance the response structure and raise awareness of disaster prevention. 

 

Kansai Airports Group will continue to make every effort to provide a safe and secure airport environment  to our passengers.

 

Date: Tuesday, June 6, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm (June 8 in the case of heavy rain)

  1. Safety Confirmation and initial response
  2. Emergency communication and call
  3. Rescue
  4. Evacuation guidance (emergency vehicle guiding)
  5. Prevention and removal of oil spillage
  6. Initial firefighting
  7. Prevention of fire spreading
  8. Evacuation guidance for staff of neighboring facilities and road closure
  9. Information sharing and communication with Senshu-Minami Fire Department
