Hainan Airlines to Begin Nonstop Service between KIX and Haikou

  • 22 Feb 2019

Kansai Airports today announced that Hainan Airlines (HU) will launch thrice-weekly service between Kansai International Airport (KIX) and Haikou, beginning Thursday, February 28, 2019. Headquartered in Haikou, Hainan Province, China, the airline has been awarded 5-star rating for the eighth consecutive year in Skytrax’s 2018 World Airline Award.

The new route to Haikou—the second nonstop service to China served by the airline after Shenzhen—is expected to meet strong demand for air travel to Japan from Haikou and surrounding areas. With the network expansion, KIX will be connected to 35 destinations in China including Hong Kong and Macao, driving further growth in travel demand to and from China.

Kansai Airports is committed to expanding its global network to provide more convenient and comfortable travel experiences for all its customers.
