International scheduled flights resume at Yangon International Airport

Yangon International Airport (YIA) wishes everyone a Happy Myanmar New Year. Thingyan Festival marking the beginning of Myanmar New Year also marks the recommencement of scheduled international flights to Myanmar on 17th April 2022. YIA warmly welcome the return of our international passengers.
On 17th April 2022, YIA welcomed the first international flights from Singapore, SQ762, at 0900 hours, arriving 20 minutes earlier that the scheduled ETA of 0920 hours. This was followed by more flights from Singapore and Bangkok by MNA and MAI.
Additional staffs were deployed at YIA, Terminal 1, to assist and guide passengers to complete health and immigration protocols. YIA thank all stakeholders and passengers for their patience in adhering to the public healthcare requirements in Myanmar.
We wish to highlight the requirements and process at YIA as follows:
What to Expect When Arriving at YIA:
As per the regulations and guidelines from the Myanmar Health Authority, arriving passengers are expected to have completed and ready documents, which include:
1. PCR Test (72 HRs)
2. Health Declaration Form
3. Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate
4. Arrival Card
5. Insurance Card (Foreigners only)

Travelers who do not meet the above requirements may enter Myanmar only by relief flights and shall fulfil the Quarantine and Testing Requirements of International Travelers to Myanmar issued and updated by the MOH. After disembarking from the plane;
1. Arriving passengers are guided to the health screening area to provide all documents related
to Covid-19 PCR testing and Vaccination status.
2. Once health and medical documents are approved, passengers will undergo the process for
immigration and baggage claims.
3. After exiting the arrival area, passengers will be guided to the Ministry of Hotel and Tourism
booth for quarantine accommodation and transport services
Some commercial outlets such as KFC, Craft Café, and Café D Yangon have also resumed business at Terminal 1. With Covid Restrictions in place, other traveler service counterssuch as currency exchange and sim card purchases are also available after immigration, baggage collection, and hotel quarantine registration.
