Kannur International Airport Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer

Kannur International Airport Ltd. (KIAL) has announced the appointment of Mr. Aswani Kumar VK as its new Chief Operating Officer, effective from 1st October 2024.


A veteran of the Indian Air Force, Aswani brings a wealth of experience, having served 34 years in the aviation industry. He holds advanced qualifications in Sociology, an MBA, and an LLB. Prior to joining Kannur Airport, he held key positions at GMR Goa Airport and Bangalore International Airport Ltd.


On this occasion, the Managing Director of Kannur International Airport, Mr. Dinesh Kumar. C stated, “We are excited to have Mr. Aswani Kumar join our team at Kannur Airport. His vast experience and proven track record in the aviation sector will undoubtedly bring positive changes to our operations.”


Aswani’s appointment is expected to strengthen the airport’s operational capabilities as it continues to expand and enhance its services.
