Kansai Airports Group is pleased to announce that our aircraft refueling facility in-house disaster management team at Kansai International Airport won the Grand Prize for the first time in the "FY2023 Skills Contest for In-house Disaster Management Organizations in Petroleum Complexes, etc." The "Skill Contest for Self-Defense and Disaster Prevention Organizations in Petroleum Complexes, etc." is a contest organized by the Fire and Disaster Management Agency (FDMA) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) since 2014 to improve the skills and morale of in-house disaster management organizations at a specific business establishment in an oil complex area, and to strengthen the disaster prevention capability of that area.
Kansai International Airport is designated as a specified business establishment because we store aircraft fuel, and have established the in-house disaster management team.
