KIX / ITAMI / KOBE Traffic Report for August 2024

The international passenger traffic has increased, with the number of non-Japanese passengers reaching 114% compared to the same month in 2019, significantly surpassingm pre-COVID 19 levels. Moreover, the number of Japanese passengers has recovered to 67% compared to the same month in 2019, leading to an overall recovery of 97% in total passenger numbers.

The total number of domestic passengers at three airports was 92% compared to the same month in 2019 and 105% year-on-year. The number of passengers at Kobe Airport was 334,000, marking the highest single-month record.*

*The previous record high was 330,000 in August 2019.
The international cargo movements were 83% with the international cargo volume of 104% compared to the previous year.
