Macau International Airport Route Promotion and Roadshow (Zhongshan Station)

On 8th June 2024, Macau International Airport held a route promotion and roadshow in Zhongshan. The main purpose of this event is to promote the Southeast Asian and Northeast Asian routes of Macau International Airport, in order to encourage more residents from the Greater Bay Area to choose Macau as a transit point when travelling to those regions. The event has specially invited representatives from 21 units, including airlines and travel agencies currently operating in Macau, to collectively participate in the promotion.

During the promotion event, representatives from Macau International Airport provided detailed introductions to the Greater Bay Area residents about the airlines operating at Macau International Airport and the domestic and international routes currently offering. It is also highlighted the convenient shuttle bus service from Zhongshan Service Center to the airport, as well as the self check-in kiosks at Macau resort hotels, could significantly enhance the convenience of travel for passengers.

Additionally, the roadshow set up multiple individual booths where airlines and travel agencies showcased and introduced various tourism products in Macau. It also offered interactive activities, such as online mini-games, distribution of souvenirs and grand prize draw of air tickets, attracting lots of people to observe and participate. At the same time, residents also actively inquired about relevant flight information with the travel agencies and airlines on site. The event was rich in content and effectively enhanced the visibility and attractiveness of Macau International Airport and its Southeast Asian and Northeast Asian routes network within the Greater Bay Area, playing a positive role in promoting residents to choose Macau as a transit point for their travels. 

In May of this year (2024), Macau was selected as the “Culture City of East Asia 2025”. Continue to support the tourism development strategy of SAR Government, and leverage the advantages of the “Belt and Road” Initiative. We will jointly explore more cooperation opportunities to open up more international routes and destinations with airlines, and at the same time actively promote international transfer routes services departing from Macau with one ticket and through-checked baggage, attracting more international passengers and making it convenient for local residents to further enhance the travel experience of passengers.

The event was coordinated and organized by Director of Marketing Department Mr. Eric Fong of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) and the team. Macau International Airport plans to conduct another promotional roadshow in Jiangmen in the fourth quarter of this year.
