New Leadership Added to the Board at the ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly

The 14th ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly was held in Hong Kong yesterday and three new Regional Board Directors were elected for a three-year term commencing 2019:
- Mr. Mohamed Yousif Al-Binfalah, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Airport Company SPC
- Mr. Futoshi Osada, Senior Executive Vice President of Narita International Airport Corporation
- Mr. Ming-Teh Wang, Chairman of Taoyuan International Airport Corporation
Commenting on the elections, Patti Chau, Regional Director of ACI Asia-Pacific said, “I wish to congratulate all elected members of the Board. Together with our President, we look forward to working closely with our Board in strengthening ACI Asia-Pacific’s role in representing our members in the region and advocating members’ interests.”
ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Board is a governing body which determines the overall development strategy of ACI Asia-Pacific region. The Board is composed of 25 aviation business leaders across the Asia-Pacific region.
The Regional Assembly was part of the overall 2019 ACI Asia-Pacific/ World Annual General Assembly, Conference & Exhibition event, which was kicked off on April 2, 2019. Hosted by Hong Kong International Airport, the event attracted well over 800 aviation leaders from around the world for the conference and exhibition.
During the handover ceremony at the gala dinner last night, it was announced that Kansai Airports will be the host of the 15th ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly, Conference & Exhibition next year. The event will be held from April 21 – 23, 2020 in Nara, Japan.
