OLC Launches New Certificate Level Course in Airport Rescue and Firefighting Services

The ACI Online Learning Centre (OLC) has released a new certificate-level course in Airport Rescue and Firefighting Services. The 11-hour online program will enable airport rescue and firefighting services (RFFS) managers, airport RFFS personnel, aerodrome operator management and staff, representatives from local emergency agencies, personnel responsible for training and overseeing ARFF personnel and anyone interested in a career in airport firefighting, operations and safety to better understand best practises for efficient management of an airport RFSS.
The online course provides recommendations that can be implemented to:
- Ensure compliance with international and national legislation and regulations
- Promote more efficient management of airport rescue and firefighting service (RFFS)
- Improve airport RFFS performance
"We are excited to announce the release of this new course as it will assist fire and rescue airport personnel to become familiar with establishing and managing a RFFS at an airport, compliance and regulatory requirements and how to identify ways to improve the performance of existing RFFS," said Eddie Ragauskas, Director of the Online Learning Centre.
