Passenger Service Charges to be Revised at Kansai International Airport

  • 09 Aug 2019

Kansai Airports today announced that the passenger service facility charge (PSFC) and passenger security service charge (PSSC) at Kansai International Airport (KIX) will be raised beginning October 1, 2019 in line with the consumption tax increase.

The PSFC is currently charged to passengers using KIX and Osaka International Airport (ITAMI). The collected fees are used for the improvement of airport services and facilities, including departure and arrival lobbies, to enhance the convenience and comfort of passengers.

International passengers departing KIX are also charged with the PSSC for the maintenance and management of screening equipment to ensure safety and security in the terminal.

By improving the airport environment, Kansai Airports is committed to meeting customers’ expectations and providing them with an exceptional travel experience.
