Queen Alia International Airport Receives Jordanian Students Stranded Abroad

Following the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II and coordinating with relevant concerned entities, Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) received on Tuesday 5 May, 2020, the first flight carrying Jordanian students.
Airport International Group reaffirms that it has deployed its cadres and capacities to join efforts with specialized security and government entities in order to facilitate the process of receiving and streamlining flights and passengers - while adhering to strict measures for maintaining the health and safety of citizens and completing medical examinations upon arrivals conducted by relevant medical teams.
Furthermore, Airport International Group states that 16 flights transporting over 3,000 passengers arriving from Cairo, Istanbul, Montreal, Chicago, Moscow, London, Frankfurt and Detroit will be received over the course of four days.
Eight flights from London, Chicago, Frankfurt, Cairo and Istanbul are scheduled to land at QAIA today. Two flights from Istanbul and Moscow landed yesterday Wednesday and three flights - two from Cairo and one from Istanbul - landed on Tuesday. Additionally, three flights from London,Chicago and Istanbul are slated for tomorrow Friday.
Airport International Group is proud to play a role in welcoming students back to our beloved country in cooperation with multiple departments from the Ministry of Transport; the Ministry of Health; the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army; the Royal Medical Services; security agencies; and the national carrier Royal Jordanian - all of which exerted tremendous efforts to ensure the success of this operation in alignment with recommended measures and health protocols.
