Sichuan Airline Delegation Visited CAM for Route Development

The delegation of Sichuan Airlines Company Limited led by Mr. Zhao Xiaosong – Board Member & EVP, paid a courtesy visit to Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) on 9th February 2023. The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Chu Tan Neng – Executive Director of CAM. During the meeting, both parties conducted business negotiations and exchanged view regarding the route of Chengdu Tianfu to Macau, as well as the future cooperation opportunities between both parties.

Mr. Zhao introduced that Chengdu Tianfu International Airport the newly established airport will commence international and regional air services in the second quarter of this year (2023).  Being a new hub in Sichuan, it enables Chengdu the third city in China having dual international airports. He also hoped that Tianfu and flight service between Macau could be launched in the second quarter of this year (2023). Mr. Chu welcomed the delegation, and wished that Sichuan Airlines would set Macau as a starting point to provide passengers with more convenient travel, develop diversified tourism packages and routes, and at the same time to made use of Sichuan Airlines’ route network to extend Macau’s flight services to more destinations such as the Middle East, Europe and the North America.

Other delegates attended the meeting included: CAM – Director of Marketing Department (MKD) – Mr. Eric Fong, Deputy Director of MKD – Ms. Elizabeth Cheong, Manager of MKD – Ms. Fiona Fong; Sichuan Airlines Co. Ltd. – Vice Director of General Commercial Committee – Mr. Adam Meng, and International Affairs Manager, International & Regional Affairs Department – Ms. Deng Yang.
