Statement of Condemnation of the Recent Incident at Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia

On June 12, 2019 a missile struck the arrivals hall of the Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia, causing civilian injuries and disruption to airport operations.
 
ACI Asia-Pacific expresses our strong condemnation of this incident targeting a civilian airport and conveys our deep condolences to the injured victims and their families.
 
We stand in solidarity with our colleagues at Abha International Airport and General Aviation Civil Authority, Saudi Arabia. The aviation industry is a close-knit community and together, we stand firm and united in bringing people together, ensuring the safety and security of the travelling public by offering a network of safe and secure airports.
