Xia Baolong Meets Airport Authority Delegation Led by Chairman Fred Lam in Beijing

State Council Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office Director Xia Baolong met the Airport Authority delegation led by Chairman Fred Lam at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, Beijing today.

During the meeting, Mr Xia affirmed and praised the efforts and achievements of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) in the past few years. Mr Xia encouraged the management team to fully support Chief Executive John Lee and the SAR Government in administering Hong Kong in accordance with the law, while further leveraging the unique position and strengths bestowed to Hong Kong under “one country, two systems”, and continuing to make contributions to national development.

Mr Lam pledged that HKIA would capitalise on its advantage of “enjoying strong support of the motherland and connecting closely to the world”, and develop HKIA into a world-class international aviation hub.
