The topic of rising airfare trends was one of the focal points of discussions among airport leaders during the Board Meeting of the Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), hosted by Cambodia Airports, in Phnom Penh.

On the eve of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) 41st Triennial Assembly, Airports Council International (ACI), representing nearly 2,000 of the world’s airports, calls on States to adopt an ambitious environmental agreement.
ACI Asia-Pacific has announced the winner of the association’s signature Human Resources programme, the Young Executive Award 2022. Mr. Rekibuddin Ahmed, Manager – Environment, of Delhi International Airport Limited, India was selected the winner. The panel of judges also awarded Honourable Mention to Ms. Emily Chan, Assistant Manager of Standards and Delivery, of Airport Authority Hong Kong.
ACI Asia-Pacific has announced the results of the Green Airports Recognition 2022, recognizing twelve airports in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East for their outstanding achievements in carbon management. Participating airports (adjudicated according to the size of the airport) all demonstrated exceptional best practices in their respective decarbonization journeys, specifically in Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emission reductions.
ACI Asia-Pacific commends its airport members, which despite the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis, reported continued carbon savings. The report was part of the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme publishing its first carbon performance results for the period May 2019 to May 2021 at the 31st ACI LAC/World Annual General Assembly convening in Cancun, Mexico.
ACI World and the five ACI regions – in collaboration with members – have created a long-term carbon goal for their member airports.
The Green Airports Recognition programme has recognized six airport members from Australia, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong SAR and India.
ACI Asia-Pacific has announced the results of the region’s annual Green Airports Recognition 2020. Taoyuan International Airport (Taoyuan City, Chinese Taipei), Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (Hyderabad, India) and Kaohsiung International Airport (Kaohsiung City, Chinese Taipei) received the highest Platinum recognition for their efforts in water management.
As the 13th edition of ACI Airport Exchange, the global meeting of airport leaders, key industry suppliers and aviation stakeholders unrolls in Abu Dhabi, Airport Carbon Accreditation released the annual results of the collective carbon management delivered by accredited airports in its 10th consecutive year.
