The conference, organised jointly by ACI EUROPE, ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East and ACI World, and hosted by Aeroporti di Roma, will chart the future of air travel, pooling innovative solutions, groundbreaking tools and know-how from across the globe.
ACI Asia-Pacific has announced the winner of the association’s signature Human Resources programme, the Young Executive Award 2022. Mr. Rekibuddin Ahmed, Manager – Environment, of Delhi International Airport Limited, India was selected the winner. The panel of judges also awarded Honourable Mention to Ms. Emily Chan, Assistant Manager of Standards and Delivery, of Airport Authority Hong Kong.
ACI Asia-Pacific has announced the results of the Green Airports Recognition 2022, recognizing twelve airports in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East for their outstanding achievements in carbon management. Participating airports (adjudicated according to the size of the airport) all demonstrated exceptional best practices in their respective decarbonization journeys, specifically in Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emission reductions.
ACI Asia-Pacific and APTRA are recommending collaboration between governments to expedite the seamless reopening of borders in Asia Pacific
ACI Asia-Pacific commends its airport members, which despite the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis, reported continued carbon savings. The report was part of the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme publishing its first carbon performance results for the period May 2019 to May 2021 at the 31st ACI LAC/World Annual General Assembly convening in Cancun, Mexico.
Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific today urged more governments to reopen borders and relax quarantine requirements especially in countries which have reached satisfactory vaccination rates, to prevent repeat of a dismal year for Asia-Pacific and Middle East airports.
The association’s membership now stands at 122 members operating 609 airports in 49 countries/ areas.
Asia-Pacific and Middle East airports will have to develop new greenfield airports and invest to modernize and expand existing airport infrastructure to meet future growth.
As the G7 Summit formally begins in the United Kingdom today, ACI World and ACI Asia-Pacific have written to G7 leaders to urge support for digital health passes.
ACI World and the five ACI regions – in collaboration with members – have created a long-term carbon goal for their member airports.
