Weekly Trending of Passenger Volume
ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East continues to monitor the impacts of COVID-19 on traffic and connectivity. The positive impacts of the border reopening in recent months in the region can be observed, particularly in Japan and Korea, where passenger traffic in the key hubs showed clear improvements. Traffic in the South East Asian hubs in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore are also trending upwards. Passenger traffic in China continues to increase since the reopening on 8 Jan 2023. In aggregate, passenger traffic at week 8 2023 was -44% compared to 2019.
