ITAMI Runway Walk to be Held at Osaka International Airport

Kansai Airports today announced that the ITAMI Runway Walk will be held at Osaka International Airport (ITAMI) on July 9, 2022.

This is the airport's third runway walk event at ITAMI and it aims to give an opportunity for elementary and junior high school students to feel familiar with ITAMI and deepen their understanding of the operation of the airport and aircraft by walking on the runway before operation. In the event, attendees will be given a rare opportunity to walk on the airport runway, take photos, and watch water spraying by chemical fire engines at the airport fire station. By promoting fun and enjoyable events, Kansai Airports Group will continue to deliver the attractiveness of the airports and offer an exciting travel experience for all airport guests.

Date & time: Saturday, July 9, 2022 (Light rain or shine)
Location: Restricted area of ITAMI
Eligibility: Elementary and junior high school students living in the 10 cities around ITAMI and their guardians.
*Preschoolers are not allowed. Children must be accompanied by their guardian.
Limit: 80 people (up to 4 people per family)
Application period: 12:00, Friday, June 3 to 12:00 Tuesday, June 7, 2022
