The topic of rising airfare trends was one of the focal points of discussions among airport leaders during the Board Meeting of the Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), hosted by Cambodia Airports, in Phnom Penh.

ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID) was honoured to participate at the 2024 security committee of The International Federation of Air Line Pilots' Associations (IFALPA) from the 14-16 November in Fukuoka, Japan. An Airport Excellence Programme (APEX) in Security review was successfully conducted at Velana International Airport (MLE) in Male, Maldives from 20-24 October 2024, hosted by Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL). It was the first ever APEX in Security review conducted in the country.

The 19th Meeting of the ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East Regional Environment Committee meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, from 10-12 September 2024 concluded with key outcomes that include a continued focus on collaboration with airlines in areas such as cabin waste management, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), and renewable energy for aircraft.
